Yakushima Botanical Research Park

Fruits, herbs, and plants from all over the world are grown in the Yakushima Botanical ResearchPark. Almost anything can be cultivated on the island thanks to its high amountof rainfall, rich soils, and subtropical coastal climate. In the research park,visitors can see rare plants and fruits, including dragon fruit and old banyan treeswith their characteristic aerial roots.

One of the highlights of the Yakushima Botanical ResearchPark is its large pineapple garden, which gives the park an exotic character. Theresearch park also has an observation deck with a breathtaking view of Trohki Waterfallwith Mt. Mocchomu in the background.
